On April 1st, it was reported that the game “Silent Hill 2: Remake” recently received an “M” 17+ rating from the ESRB. Since game ratings usually occur in the later stages of production and shortly before the release, it suggests that the release date of the game is expected to be announced soon.
Previously, it was reported that the Mexican retail platform Sanborns leaked that “Silent Hill 2: Remake” would be released on May 30th of this year.
After recently releasing a game trailer, Piotr Babieno, the president of Bloober Team, stated that the trailer does not truly reflect the quality of the game, and he understands some of the negative reviews of the game based on the trailer.
He then mentioned the publisher Konami and said, “This is entirely the responsibility of the publisher. Certainly, this trailer does not reflect the true spirit of the game. It is neither the essence of the original work nor the essence we are creating now. We are striving to fully restore the romantic and horror atmosphere that players loved 22 years ago. We believe that when players see the true game play and the real game, they will evaluate it in a completely different way.”
Last month, Motoi Okamoto, the producer of the “Silent Hill” series of Konami, stated that the game has entered the final stage of development, which corresponds to the previous statement of the developer Bloober Team. “Silent Hill 2” Remake will be available on the PS5 and PC platforms.
